Darts

Since February 2023, we have expanded our sporting offerings to include darts.

Since then, darts has become a popular recreational activity in our club.

With a steadily growing membership and regular tournaments, the sport has taken a firm place in our club life.

There are two types of darts: steel darts and soft darts. Our focus is on steel darts.

Steel darts are thrown at classic dartboards made of sisal fibers. Steel darts have a maximum weight of 50g. However, most players prefer a dart weighing approximately 20-38g. The tip is made of steel (hence the name)

or a similar metal.

Now we would like to give you a brief overview of the darts activities at SG Tell Wolfegg.

Training and club activities

Our weekly training sessions take place every Tuesday and Friday in our beautiful shooting range, and members of all skill levels are welcome to participate.

Our coaches offer individual support and ensure that both beginners and experienced players can improve their technique and game strategy.

In addition to regular training sessions, monthly internal tournaments are held where members can compete and demonstrate their skills.

Successes and challenges

Last year, our players achieved notable success in various regional and national tournaments. These achievements demonstrate the high level of darts play in our club.

However, there were also challenges, particularly in the area of member recruitment and retention. The increasing demand for training sessions requires an adjustment of resources to meet the needs of all members.
